Exploring Various Types of Barrier Nets and Fences for Different Applications

Spectator safety barrier nets for sports arenas prevent balls from entering spectator seating areas. These nets are custom fabricated for each facility. Choose from a variety of colors, mesh sizes and fastening options to build your custom netting barrier.
Bird netting is also used for warehouse and storage facilities, to protect products from contamination or damage by birds. It can also be used for solar panel protection and residential property barrier netting for sale.
Boundary Fences
Boundary fences are an important part of a home’s security system. They help keep out intruders, wild animals, and nosy neighbors from peeking into your yard. They also add privacy and block out noise and distracting sites from outside. In addition, they act as a deterrent to criminals and burglars, making them an effective deterrent for any potential intruder.
Many people assume that a fence built on or near their property is owned by them, but this is not always the case. The best way to determine ownership of a boundary fence is to look at the deeds. Modern deeds will have clear boundary ownership marked on a scale plan. However, older deeds may not contain this information.
Often, boundary fences will be erected along the property line between two adjoining land owners. In this case, the fence belongs to both property owners and is a shared responsibility. To determine which side of the fence you own, check the deeds or ask your neighbour to show you their Seller’s Property Information Form (SPIF). You cannot purchase an official copy of a SPIF from Land Registry.
Poultry Fence
Poultry fences are great for keeping hens safe from predators while they are free-range. However, it’s important to remember that poultry fences don’t really keep predators out. If you live in an area with crafty predators, it’s best to use a high secure fence that includes electrified scare wires at the top and outside bottom of the poultry fencing.
Chicken netting, also called aviary netting, comes in a range of mesh sizes. The smallest, often called turkey netting, is woven from 22-gauge wire and used to pen quail or pheasants, or to prevent small wild birds from stealing poultry feed. Its rolls are usually 25 or 150 feet long and have a height of up to 72 inches.
To make a poultry fence that keeps your birds in and the predators out, simply string a pair of electric wires on insulators around the perimeter of the coop or run. One shock should discourage most predators from coming near your flock again.
Ski Slope Fence
Ski slope fences, also known as snow fences or custom netting, are used in areas where it is important to keep skiers away from dangerous areas. They are usually made of a bright orange material and have distinct and visible markings that allow skiers to see them from a distance. They can be used for both normal operations on a ski slope and Alpine sporting events.
A ski slope fence must be carefully designed to be effective. It should be installed with the wind direction in mind. The wind direction can be estimated using meteorological data from weather stations, by examining drift features in the area, or by observing local topography. The fences should be staggered to prevent the wind from burying the first row of fencing downwind.
To maximize the effectiveness of a ski slope fence, multiple rows should be positioned at a distance that is equal to or greater than the fence height. This will ensure that all holes in the fence are covered with subsequent rows of fence.
Universal Fence
Designed to keep predators out of your livestock or gardens. This versatile net is four feet tall, which works for sheep, goats, and poultry. It is not recommended for pigs, however, because they can root up the soil and bury the bottom line of the net. This can short out the wires.
This fencing is ideal for use in areas that need to be raised and lowered seasonally. It can also be used for temporary special event fencing. Its dense mesh provides visual privacy and wind blockage. It is also easy to install and can be used on top of existing fencing.
