The History Of Cotino Disney: From Dream To Reality
When most people think of the franchise that is Disney, they think of the famous Walt Disney World. The resorts in Orlando, Florida, and Anaheim, California, nicknamed “The Happiest Place(s) on Earth,” bring wonder to millions of visitors a year. Many visitors, sports especially adults, do not see this vacation spot as an amusement park, but as a way to escape a harsh reality and be teleported into the fantasy realm that brought comfort to them as children, and they still do. Many “Disney Adults” spend large amounts of money annually to constantly be in the land of dreams. What if it was possible to live in the Disney Parks? Disney Story Living is the company answering this question, allowing beloved fans to be able to live the Disney fantasy.
Before Disney Storyliving
Before Cotino, there was a Celebration. Disney’s first themed community celebration, Florida, got a lot of media attention in the mid-1990s. Celebration was located near the Orlando, Florida, park and was developed by the Walt Disney Company to uphold traditional neighborhood values. Highlighted by its pastel-colored homes, town center, school, and recreational environments, the community was inspired by early 20th-century America. Everything was built to be within walking distance of each other, and the community hosted seasonal events to bring the community together. Although Disney distanced itself from the project in 2004, the community still exists, and the whimsical nature of it remains.
What is Cotino Disney?
Cotino Disney is a part of the business venture Disney Storyliving, which is planned to be a community similar to Celebration. Unlike the Florida community, this is all made possible by a third party and is a luxury reboot of Disney’s first themed community. The purpose of Cotino is like Celebration, which was to allow fans to live within the magic of Disney in their everyday lives, bringing aspects of the movies to the mundane. This Disney living location was also close range to many popular tourist locations in the region. Cotino Disney is set to be located in Rancho Mirage, California, to appeal to a higher-class audience. Unlike Celebration, which was near the Florida parks, which is near Palm Springs, where Walt Disney lived before his passing, This already shows the difference in the direction of this town compared to its predecessor. There are starter home options like the Cottage Collection and family homes like the Grand Collection. For visitors, there will be hotels. If residents pay for a subscription, they will have access to exclusive clubs, community events, and beach attractions.
Bringing The Fantasy of Disney to Real Life
Townships like Cotino Disney can be the beginning of corporations integrating immersive fandom experiences so that fans can have their favorite media incorporated into their everyday lives. Every aspect of the community living would be designed to reflect the magic of the famous Disney films. Beyond appearances, homeowners were to be greeted by themed residents to further foster the immersive experience. Residents are encouraged to build a sense of community around other Disney-loving fans. It has not yet been announced what exactly the community exclusive events will entail; however, the excitement around this new form of residence life is ever-growing.
